Kyle & Aurora
Winter weddings are such beautiful experiences, especially when you have a gorgeous day for one like Kyle & Aurora did! Capturing their December wedding day brought back many fond memories of my own December wedding two years ago, although mine unfortunately was much more brown and had considerably less snow to work with! Jumping outside for Kyle & Aurora’s portraits, I was so thrilled to be able to take advantage of the beautiful wintry surroundings, perfect for light and airy images.
From a sweet, hiding-behind-a-corner prayer time before the ceremony to a teary groom seeing his bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle, their day was filled with so many tender moments. Not only that, but so many special details were included too—Aurora’s bouquet was wrapped with a handkerchief that is over 100 years old, passed down from her great great grandmother and used in every daughter’s wedding since! And Kyle made a striking figure wearing Aurora’s grandfather’s suit and cuff-links, another special family heirloom. From before sunrise to after sunset, their family was so involved throughout the entire wedding and it was so encouraging to see how much care and time they put in to make the day extra breathtaking.
Kyle & Aurora, thank you so much for entrusting me with your precious moments! Your wedding was beautiful and it was such a joy to be a part of it. Blessings on your marriage as you step forward into this grand adventure!
Enjoy a few of my favourites from your special day!
