Grad sessions are some of my favourite sessions to capture and even though this one was cold, it was definitely no exception! I have had the privilege of knowing Riley and her entire family for many years now and even getting to be her small group leader at youth group for a time! It is so surreal but exciting to watch one of your girls grow up before your eyes and transition into adulthood, and to get to capture it in photos is an even greater honour!
It was calling for heavy rain on Riley’s graduation day, but we clung onto the chance that it would clear up and it almost did lol! We ended up throwing our stuff together and photographing Riley’s grad session hours earlier than planned when the rain held off for longer than we anticipated, although it did start to drizzle once we were a few minutes in. Riley and her cousin David were great troopers though and never complained at all even though the wind was crazy and they were slowly getting soaked! We took breaks as needed to dry off her dress and recuperate, and overall I’m so glad we risked it so we could capture this special occasion on the sacred day itself ❤️
Riley, Andrew and I are so happy for you and feel so honoured that you asked us to be involved in your special day!! Congratulations on accomplishing such an exciting milestone! We are so excited for where life will take you in the future and can’t wait to see where God leads you!
