Tyson & Alicia
How to even begin with these two! I am so blessed that not only are Tyson & Alicia such a dreamy couple to photograph, but they also just happen to be two of my favourite people! We have been close friends with them for several years now and it is so beyond exciting that they have decided to spend the rest of their lives together!!
Even though it was a super windy day, they rocked their engagement session and were so willing to try everything I suggested! They even brought multiple outfits with them which made for such great variety within their gallery. It was so fun to get to collaborate with Alicia during the days leading up to the session as we talked about specific colours, patterns, and what types of clothes work best on camera! I think it’s pretty safe to say that all her intentionality paid off, as their outfits photographed so beautifully!!
Since Tyson is a close friend of ours, we had the privilege of personally knowing what was happening behind the scenes before the proposal! We had a few pretty hilarious occasions beforehand where, as a friend group, we brainstormed every possible way he could potentially propose to Alicia; some ideas were excellent and may have actually influenced the final proposal, but most of them were ridiculous and had us all in stitches!
Ultimately, Tyson decided to take Alicia on a picnic and propose to her over one of her favourite meals: pancakes. After a somewhat stressful morning of attempting to write “Will you marry me?” in blueberries on the pancakes and it not going exactly according to plan, he decided to improvise and instead asked her on the spot once they had settled down for the picnic! It was so sweet to hear the story of how everything had actually gone after we had bombarded him with so many ideas; we were all pretty invested in the proposal by that point!
Tyson & Alicia, Andrew and I are so happy for you both and we look forward to many double dates in the future! You make such a beautiful couple and it was a joy to photograph this special time in your lives. We love you an insane amount and are so excited to get to share this marriage journey with you!!
