Kleskun Hills Winter Engagement

David & Maddy

You may recognize these beautiful people from another recent post, as it was only a few weeks ago that we were celebrating that Maddy had accepted David’s proposal!! It feels like just yesterday and yet the time has flown by, and it feels so natural and right to be welcoming Maddy permanently into our family!

When David proposed to Maddy in a farmer’s field, we were able to take some beautiful “mini engagement session” portraits to celebrate their first day as future husband and wife! That short time together was an absolute blast, so it was even more enjoyable to get to plan and do a full-length engagement session with two of my favourite family members!

It takes a special willingness and courage to embrace a winter engagement session, and David & Maddy are just the right kind of people for it! All three of David’s siblings (Andrew and myself included) somehow ended up having winter weddings surrounded by snow, so although that won’t be the case for David & Maddy, David told me right away that he wanted to embrace a winter engagement session to carry on the tradition!

These two were such troopers the entire time, up for anything and very willing to take “vehicle breaks” where we hopped into our cars for a few minutes to warm up our freezing hands! They literally danced their way through their engagement session, and I think their fun-loving, delightful natures shine through so clearly through these images!

David & Maddy, I loved photographing your engagement session with you! I am so happy to be welcoming another sister into the family, and it was such a privilege to capture these precious moments in your relationship. Andrew and I love you both so much and are so excited for your wedding next summer!

Enjoy a few of my favourites from your engagement session!

Lovely photos of a lovely couple done by a spectacular photographer, but I might just be a bit bias, nah!!!
