This beautiful family session has been a long time coming; before we needed to reschedule due to Covid restrictions, we were originally planning this session for December! I must admit that I am happy we ended up doing a summer session instead though, especially with a baby! 6 months and onwards is an especially fun time to photograph babies so the timeline worked out perfectly for both the warm weather and Kaia being 10 months old! ❤️
I’ve had the privilege of knowing Dori for a while now and she is such a generous, kind person so it came as no surprise that the rest of her family is just as sweet as she is! We had such a good time together with all of us, and watching the love they pour into their baby granddaughter is just too precious!! Kaia was hilarious and gave us a great mix of smiles as well as funny faces, both of which I find irresistible to include in a blog!
I love family sessions like this one because there are so many special, different dynamics to highlight and celebrate and I love getting to do that! From the full, entire family shots to the more intimate pictures between a husband & wife and the adorable individuals of a baby with everyone else cheering her on, there are so many precious moments and relationships interwoven throughout!
Much to my delight, the entire family came dressed to impress and their colours coordinated perfectly together!! Neutrals, soft pinks, & blue tones are a killer combination and photograph like an absolute dream with a bright and airy style, so I was on cloud nine when they arrived and I saw their outfits! Pretty clothing makes such a huge difference in the final outcome for pictures and a little intentionality goes a long way, as you can definitely see here!
Dori, Vic, Stephen, Courtney, & Jackson, it was so lovely to meet all of you and I loved getting to capture these pictures for your family!! Kaia is precious beyond words and I am thrilled that she will always have these pictures to look back on and remember how loved she was right from the beginning! I hope you love the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them!
