It doesn’t even seem possible that it has already been two years since I was last in Brad & Tina’s home to photograph their first baby’s lifestyle session!! That sweet little girl we photographed two years ago has now grown into the most adorable toddler, and this time I had the privilege of capturing her and her adorable new baby brother together! As you can tell in some of the photos below, she was VERY excited to hold him once some of the camera-shyness wore off!
It is so touching to me when families reach out for further sessions like this; it is such an honour to get to photograph the different stages of their lives and how their families have grown and changed over time! A lot of Brad & Tina’s surroundings have stayed the same since their first baby Nora’s birth, so we had some fun getting creative in figuring out how to make Emmett’s session special and unique to him! It was Tina who first suggested taking a few family photos outside to help with this, and that was a brilliant idea that added so much variety to their gallery!! We had such a nice, softly overcast day which diffused the sunlight super well and made the colours pop beautifully!
Even though it had been a while since we were last in touch, it felt just like picking up where we left off with old friends as soon as I stepped into their home again. Brad & Tina are such a kind and enjoyable couple to be around and it was so fun getting to deep-dive into all things baby with them, especially since I am preparing to welcome my own first child in three short months!
Brad & Tina, it was so lovely getting to connect with you both again and swooning over your new baby!! Thank you so much for welcoming me back into your home with such open arms. Emmett is too cute for words and may not realize yet how blessed he is to be part of your family, but the rest of us can tell! I know this stage flies by so fast so I hope that these images will always be a cherished keepsake to you all as you embark on being a family of 4!
