While I always love a classic family session, extended family sessions have a special place in my heart since they are so meaningful! I love getting to capture multiple generations all together and the deeper dynamics that come with the larger family! Getting to capture grandchildren with their grandparents, the entire family as a whole, and all those smaller groupings within it is such a neat way to celebrate those relationships.
Tracy & her extended family were such a lovely group of people and they had each other laughing for a LOT of the session! I purposely planned the photo schedule so that a few family units were done right away in case they needed to leave early, but none of them did as they all enjoyed being present and watching the others the entire time! 😄
I was so glad when Tracy was totally willing to modify the location of our session once I found this beautiful spot at South Bear Creek Baseball Diamonds, too! We originally were planning to go somewhere else across the park, but as soon as I saw this spot I knew it would photograph like a dream and have great lighting so I am thrilled it worked out for us! Especially since it had TONS of space to spread out and move around, which is imperative when you have a large family!! 😊
