Caleb & Corissa
It seems like only yesterday that I met up with Caleb & Corissa at GPRC for their engagement session, and yet now they are husband & wife!! When I asked them after the ceremony if it felt real yet that they were married, Corissa happily answered, “I’m not sure, but I do know that it feels so RIGHT!” And that is something I am confident all their family and friends can also attest to; Caleb & Corissa are so right for each other!
You may remember from their engagement session that Corissa has lived in India for many years! So it should come as no surprise that so many beautiful Indian touches were interwoven into their wedding details! Just for starters, Corissa’s wedding dress is an authentic Indian wedding gown she purchased in India herself; her jewelry is all akin to traditional Indian bridal jewelry; and she and her bridesmaids all had henna beautifully drawn on either their hands or their feet.
In addition to this, their backyard ceremony took place under a lovely white tent that had streamers strung across, showcasing fabric triangles made from Corissa’s old Indian dresses! Their entire wedding was such a beautiful blend of Canadian & Indian culture, and it made for such a special and personalized day for them.
In the midst of what has been an unsettling year in so many ways, Corissa & Caleb have shown an unwavering commitment to each other and to getting married regardless of the circumstances! Photographing any wedding is always a deep privilege, but it really hits you in a new way when there are only a few select people present and you were chosen to be one of them. Based on their dispositions though, you may never have guessed that this was not the day they originally planned; they were so full of joy and contentment!
Caleb & Corissa, I am so happy for you both and am thrilled you have entered into this new adventure together! You are both such peaceful, considerate people and I know it will serve you so well wherever you go. It was an absolute joy to capture your love for each other! May God bless you richly on this journey of marriage!
Enjoy a few of my favourites from your wedding day!
