Intimate Winter Wedding

Tyson & Alicia

This wedding day is the only one so far where not only did Andrew and I get a bit emotional during the ceremony, but we even got teary the week before just preparing for their day and being struck with how special these moments were going to be!

Tyson & Alicia are very close to our hearts, and we have been with them on the journey as they progressed from friends, to dating, to their engagement, and now finally to marriage! There is never a dull moment with them and we have had so many laughs together. Our friendship with them has that amazing combination of being often hilarious and lighthearted, but also not needing to shy away from going deep and having meaningful conversations together. They are such a blessing to us!

If you’re wondering who that stunning man officiating the wedding ceremony is, I am thrilled to tell you it is none other than my handsome husband, Andrew! We are both so fortunate in that we inadvertently discovered a life hack for still getting to attend your friends’ 10-person Covid weddings: Become an indispensable vendor for them 😉 It has worked great so far, so we very much recommend it!

We weren’t expecting a winter wedding for Tyson & Alicia at all; even the very day before, there was green grass and hardly any snow on the ground! But apparently Andrew and I brought the winter weather with us from up north because it snowed all evening and all night, and in the morning we woke up to a winter wonderland. It was still warm enough that the snow fell off the trees pretty quickly (hence the umbrellas 😂) but not before we had the opportunity to capture it during their beautiful ceremony & bridal portraits!!

Their wedding also included one of my dreams coming true… because they allowed and empowered me to PICK their ceremony location!! That’s not something you can often say! They knew they wanted to get married on Tyson’s beautiful family farm, but within that setting they were super open to the placement of everything! So I was able to not only pick a spot that had gorgeous light, but that also showcased these gorgeous, snowy trees providing beautiful framing of their ceremony arbour!! I was swooning over it the entire time and I think you will too!

Tyson & Alicia, we love you guys more than we know how to express and we are so excited for you!! You have been such an outpouring of God’s love and grace to us both and we hope to be able to be that for you in return for many years to come. It was such an honour to be included in your wedding day and we are so delighted to be young married friends now! May God bless you richly as you begin this new chapter of your lives!!

Enjoy a few of my favourite images from your wedding day!
