Sexsmith Lifestyle Newborn Session

Wow 😍 How gorgeous is this sweet family? Mason & Janelle attended the same college as me (although slightly earlier than I did!) so our paths have crossed a few times over the past several years and it is so special to see them now with their three beautiful children. They are both such sweet and loving parents; little baby Ember has no idea just how blessed she is to have them!!

I always like to tell parents of toddlers that our session will feel a little chaotic and like we’re not getting very many pictures, but I promise we actually are! And this day was no exception 😂 With a very excited and energetic big brother and sister, we were pulling out all the stops to get them interested and looking at the right place at the right time! Much of the beauty of lifestyle sessions though actually comes from the organic, totally unprompted moments and you will see many of those featured here; they easily make up some of my favourite photographs from this day ❤️

Speaking of beauty, Janelle also absolutely crushed their colour palette! Not only was their beautiful home a stunning location thanks to the soft greys and lovely greenery, but their wardrobe choices really brought everything together. I just looove it when people embrace soft tones and neutrals and let their faces be the center of attention 😍 It really makes the photos look so much more high-end!

Mason & Janelle, thank you so much for trusting me to capture these precious moments as a family of 5! You have such a gorgeous family and Ember is absolutely adorable. I hope these photographs always remind you of the beautiful parts of the newborn stage and that you enjoy them for many years to come!
