Sam & Kate
It’s not often you have the privilege of already knowing an ENTIRE bridal party in advance, but at Kate & Sam’s wedding that became a reality! Their wedding was an absolute riot, right down to every last bridesmaid and groomsman! It was so enjoyable to photograph and laugh with them all; there was such a natural rapport already present since everyone involved in their wedding had attended the same college!
Kate and I were not roommates in college, but we were essentially the next best thing; we shared a wall! If my memory serves me correctly, we used to sit in our own rooms and tap out rhythms to each other on our shared wall and wait to see if the other person would respond, which was such fun! Being able to watch Kate & Sam come in as freshmen and then graduate after experiencing such growth was truly a blessing, and it was so special to be able to witness their commitment to each other now as a married couple.
Sam & Kate’s wedding had so many beautiful elements to it, and their family’s heartfelt contributions were everywhere! Kate had such gorgeous florals from Grower Direct, and it really brought their details to a whole new level! I love getting to photograph such beautiful bouquets; you can do so much with them and they add such a stunning element to any photograph!
One of the loveliest parts of working with these two was their wonderfully calm, cheerful dispositions! They barely even blinked an eye when it suddenly started RAINING in the middle of their ceremony, only for it to become clear again as soon as the recessional began walking down the aisle! It is such a privilege to work creatively alongside people who trust your ideas and are up for anything!
Sam & Kate, the two of you make such a beautiful couple, both inside and out! I loved getting to spend your wedding day with you and capturing your love for each other; thank you for entrusting me with such a milestone in your lives! May God bless you richly on their new journey, and may you always know how loved and supported you are, both as individuals and as a couple.
